MicroMillions 4: Don’t miss out on the MicoMillions million guaranteed this Sunday ($22 NLHE)
The MicroMillions Main Event is coming up this Sunday. It’s a $ 22 buy-in with an enormous $ 1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. If any of the other MicroMillions are anything to go by then you can expect the turnout to be huge – it was 61,072 during November’s edition.
Aleksandr ‘axel397′ Malgin took it down last time around and pocketed $ 140,062.92 as part of a three-way deal that saw two other players booking six-figure wins. Read our interview with him here.
You could do the same with qualifiers starting from just a few dollars or even FPPs. Just click through Events >> MicroMillions >> Main Events in the PokerStars client or hit CTRL+T then insert this number: 2013004098

While they may not have won the $ 150,000 that’s been set aside for the Main Event winner quite yet the following players have been bashing up the festival as a whole. misc87 from Germany had a strong day to leap five spots into pole position, just edging past FENOMENICO by ten points. If you finish in the top 100 for you’ll pick up a free $ 109 SCOOP ticket.

MicroMillions 4: Luck of the Irish with oscorhiggins in Event #43 ($3.30 NLHE 6-Max)
Short-handed poker never disappoints. There’s nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. Players are forced to get busy and provide action, which is great when your job is to write final table recap articles! So our thanks goes out to oscorhiggins from Ireland. It was a day or two late for St.Patrick’s Day, but the luck of the Irish was with oscorhiggins who smashed through today’s final table, single-handedly eliminating every other player to claim the MicroMillions title.
It was Event #43 of the MicroMillions 4 series which saw 15,164 players come together for the $ 3.30 No Limit Holdem Six-Max Event. The prize pool reached $ 45,492 to breeze past the advertised guarantee as the top 2,100 players would go on to collect a profit for their time.
PokerStars Team Online’s Tyler Frost continued his quest for MicroMillions glory but missed out on the money in this event, as did mackman1917 from Canada who bubbled in 2,101st place to miss the $ 5.00 min-cash.
There was plenty of action throughout the event but things certainly slowed up approaching the final table. The problem was largely to do with gonfab from Argentina, who after building up a healthy chip stack, was now sitting out. Assumed asleep. Doh! The others were pillaging as fast as they could with several other short stacks doing their best to hang on until after gonfab was seemingly to be blinded out in 7th place.
However that plan was foiled when gonfab rose from the dead, and with just a few chips left, managed to double up through the other short stack in clarelio to stay alive. clarelio wasn’t able to recover and was unlucky to be eliminated on the final table bubble when all in preflop with [ah][2h] against oscorhiggins’ [qd][3h]. The flop of [4h][Jh][3s] paired oscorhiggins but clarelio picked up a plethora of outs to go with the ace. The turn [Kd] turn and [Ts] river bricked the board to see clarelio out in 7th place as our final table line up was set:

Final Table Line up
Seat 1: SkyTheSlayer (7,193,506 in chips)
Seat 2: gonfab (4,574,538 in chips)
Seat 3: oscorhiggins (28,252,631 in chips)
Seat 4: muriloh96 (16,531,574 in chips)
Seat 5: Huggy Herbie (8,615,172 in chips)
Seat 6: dead001001 (10,652,579 in chips)
oscorhiggins was the big chip leader when the final table kicked off, however the first significant pot saw that chip advantage reduced. It was gonfab who continued the remarkable comeback to double up with [ac][ks] against oscorhiggins’ [8h][8c]. A king on the flop and another on the turn was more than enough for gonfab to climb off the short stack.
It took some time before we lost our first player from the final table with Huggy Herbie the unlucky one to fall. The action unfolded on a flop of [8c][tc][5s]. After calling a preflop raise, Huggy Herbie moved all in from the big blind holding [kh][ts] for top pair, however oscorhiggins made the call with [qc][jc] for straight, flush and overcard outs. One of those was the [9d] turn and another was the [kc] river to give oscorhiggins the pot and leave Huggy Herbie to pocket $ 545.90 for 6th place.
oscorhiggins continued to run rampant picking up [kc][ks] in the big blind at the perfect time to take care of SkyTheSlayer. A button steal from SkyTheSlayer with [qd][7c] ran into a monster with the [qs][2h][5d][9d][5h] board not enough to save SkyTheSlayer from elimination. SkyTheSlayer took home $ 909.84 for 5th place.
After sitting out for most of the last two tables, gonfab had done very well to reach the final four, but that would be as far as it would go. After raising from under the gun and finding a call from oscorhiggins, gonfab moved all in at the flop of [kc][8s][5c] hoping to take it down. gonfab held [ac][qs] for just ace-high, but oscorhiggins had flopped top pair with [ks][td] and made the call. The [ts] turn gave oscorhiggins two pair, and an inside straight draw for gonfab, but the harmless [9h] river sealed the deal. gonfab was gone in 4th place for $ 1,592.22 in prize money.
oscorhiggins held a comfortable chip lead, but things evened right out when dead001001 landed a double up with [ac][ts] pairing the ten to better the chip leader’s [5d][5c].
At that point muriloh96 threw up the idea of a deal and with the three players even in chips, a three-way even chop was proposed. oscorhiggins was happy enough with that but it was dead001001 who was dead silent. Not a peep.
So it was game on, and ironically, muriloh96 was the one to suffer from the lack of a deal. A short time later muriloh96 was all in with [ah][kc] in a huge coin flip with oscorhiggins’ [6s][6c]. The board blanked [7h][Ts][9s][Jd][2c] to leave oscorhiggins’ pair to take it down and eliminate muriloh96 in 3rd place for a $ 2,956.98 score.
Heads-up chip counts
Seat 3: oscorhiggins (57,839,842 in chips)
Seat 6: dead001001 (17,980,158 in chips)
The heads-up contest didn’t take long to come to a climax. oscorhiggins was able to chip away as dead001001 before a fitting final hand unfolded:

MicroMillions 4: Dominant win for CEPO}|{A in Event #24 ($2.20 NLHE)
Getting through thousands upon thousands of players to reach the final table of a poker tournament is only half the battle. Once you get there, you need to make it count. CEPO}|{A did exactly that today with a dominant final table performance to win the MicroMillions title and over four grand from just an investment of just a couple of bucks.
Event #23 of the MicroMillions 4 was a $ 2.20 No Limit Holdem event with a healthy field of 17,657 taking part. The prize pool was $ 35,314 which more than doubled the advertised guarantee, with the top 2,250 players reaching the money.
Team PokerStars Pros Adrienne Rowsome and Tyler Frost were among today’s runners but they were eliminated short of reaching the prize money.
Sadly the min-cash of $ 3.53 also eluded Sergey_LP87 from Russia who was the unlucky bubble in 2,251st place.
Chris Moneymaker has been keen on these MicroMillions events, and the 2003 World Champion jagged a profit in this event with 992nd worth $ 7.06 as the only Team PokerStars Pro to reach the money.
On the stroke of nine hours of play, Team4Betlite’s [js][jd] were outflopped by FieDre’s [ah][jh] to see our final table line up set as follows:

Final Table Line up
Seat 1: FieDre (10,567,421 in chips)
Seat 2: CoolStars (6,712,168 in chips)
Seat 3: CEPO}|{A (21,266,281 in chips)
Seat 4: pupet999 (14,244,547 in chips)
Seat 5: quekoP (12,527,125 in chips)
Seat 6: Le_AmericoJF (3,573,339 in chips)
Seat 7: Securior (9,560,360 in chips)
Seat 8: gerarsamba (2,288,229 in chips)
Seat 9: bob_1ob1aw (7,545,530 in chips)
The structure for this event was pretty good, with the final table blinds kicking off at a reasonable 150k/300k/37.5k. It means that there was some breathing room from the blinds, and the players could see a few flops early on.
gerarsamba was really the only player under pressure and when gerarsamba looked down at [kc][ks] in the big blind after quekoP had already gone all in, it looked like a good time for an early double. quekoP showed [8s][8d] but caught a set on the flop of [8c][7c][9c] to change things around. gerarsamba held the only club while a king would also be good, but the [As] turn and [Js] river left gerarsamba empty-handed and on the rail in 9th place for $ 211.88 in prize money.
Le_AmericoJF was next to go after getting short-stacked. From the small blind, Le_AmericoJF tried to steal with [th][4d] but [jd][9s] was enough for Securior to call for under four big blinds. The board ran out [6s][5d][Js][Kc][Qc] leaving Le_AmericoJF to depart in 8th place for a score of $ 317.82.
pupet999 started to make a nice run with a couple of handy pots before taking out bob_1ob1aw. The chips were again in preflop with bob_1ob1aw three-bet shoving [7h][7s] but pupet999 had that notched with [8s][8c]. No help on the [2c][Tc][3c][Kh][Td] board saw bob_1ob1aw collect $ 600.33 for 7th place.
An interesting hand between Securior and CEPO}|{A saw the biggest pot of the tournament to date and also our next elimination:
CEPO}|{A was holding the chip lead, and the momentum continued with the elimination of the short-stacked CoolStars. From the button, CoolStars raised all in for three big blinds with [as][jd] but CEPO}|{A was sitting in the small blind with [ah][qs] and made the call. The board was spread [6s][8h][8s][3s][9c] leaving CEPO}|{A’s ace-queen high in front and eliminating CoolStars in 5th place for $ 1,235.99.
If we had an inkling that things were going well for CEPO}|{A, then our suspicions were only confirmed by the following hand which was the epitome of a cooler:
The carnage didn’t stop there.
Just two hands later and CEPO}|{A had struck another fatal blow. This time FieDre tried to shove the small blind for eleven big blinds holding [qc][jc] but CEPO}|{A made the call with [as][9c]. The board of [5c][3c][6d][9s][9d] gave FieDre a flush draw but CEPO}|{A struck trips to claim another victim. FieDre took home $ 2,295.41 for 3rd place.
Heads-up chip counts
Seat 3: CEPO}|{A (65,500,896 in chips)
Seat 5: quekoP (22,784,104 in chips)
Considering the dominance of CEPO}|{A, quekoP wasn’t in bad shape with just a three-to-one chip deficit and around 30 big blinds to work with.
The pots were mostly small in the early stages as CEPO}|{A was able to further the advantage slightly until quekoP landed a double up with pocket jacks against pocket eights.
However the momentum change was only temporary. CEPO}|{A caught a nice pot with trip nines before the final hand came down to a coin flip. quekoP opened with a raise and then four-bet jammed all in with [5h][5c] as CEPO}|{A made the call with [Jc][Kd] for the overcards. CEPO}|{A had run well all final table and finished the job as the board fell [8c][3h][Kc][8h][3s] to pair the king for a great victory! quekoP collected $ 3,001.69 for 2nd place as CEPO}|{A captured the title and $ 4,140.53.

MicroMillions III Day 2 review: Total prizes cross $1.25 million mark
If popular psychology held any weight whatsoever, you might think PokerStars’ low-limit festival would get a complex. All we do all day long as talk about how small its buy-ins are or how “micro” it is. Some people might have even called it “cute.” It’s the type of thing that could give a festival a real self-image problem.
Somehow, the third iteration of the MicroMillions series has managed to avoid the taunts and jabs. In just the first 15 events, the series has put together $ 1.25 million in buy-ins, as if to say, “Who you callin’ little?”
Think about that for just one moment. This isn’t a handful of high-rollers blithely throwing their $ 25,000 into the pool. We’re talking about tens of thousands of people putting the cost of a cup of coffee in the pot and making it look like $ 1.25 million. It’s startling and a lot of fun.
To this hour, the MicroMillions series has crowned 15 of its 100 champions. In all, they’ve played for $ 1,253,301 in prize money.

Events played: 15
Total MicroMillions III prize pool: $ 1,253,301

MicroMillions II: ploven13 wins Event #74 ($8.80 NLHE, 4-Max, SuperKnockout)
Even though the name may make you think that the winner of Event #74 is a fan of pot limit omaha todays results may just change that feeling.
ploven13 held the lead for most of the final table, only losing it for a few hands during heads-up play after suffering a bad beat. Even after suffering a bad bead and getting close to having only 10 big blinds ploven13 battled back, laid a bad beat himself, and then finished off his opponents on the way to winning the event.
************************************************
The prize pool for Event 74 was over $ 62,000, more than double the guarantee, but with half of that going to the bounty pool only $ 31,000 got split amongst the 1,000 that made the money. Simply surviving to the money guaranteed each player $ 9.63 and getting to the final four meant a payday of no less than $ 712.06 with the eventual winner taking home $ 3,290.48 along with any bounties they collected along the way. Here is a look at the numbers:
Entrants: 7,397
Guarantee: $ 25,000
Prize pool: $ 31,067.40
Bounty pool: $ 31,067.40
Paid Players: 1,000
André “acoimbra” Coimbra continued his quest to play all 100 events of the MicroMillions II schedule in event #74. Unfortunately for Coimbra his bounty was collected before late registration ended and he was credited for a 3,485th place finish. If you are interested in reading about Coimbra’s journey you can do so in his daily diary.
Adamyid led the way when the field got down to the final two tables with bgigra4 and Tibbii nipping at his heels. Tibbii moved even closer to Adamyid after eliminating thanos26 in 8th place. It took only a few hands from there for Tibbii to over take Adamyid. By the time they reached the final table of five Tibbii remained on the top followed by plover13. Here is their seat assignments:
Seat 1: GuusjeG (5733968 in chips)
Seat 2: FENIX RR (4143753 in chips)
Seat 3: Adamyid (5765392 in chips)
Seat 4: ploven13 (9178702 in chips)
Seat 5: Tibbii (12163185 in chips)

Down to the “official” Final Table:
ploven13 moved a bit closer to Tibbii after eliminating once chip leader Adamyid. The pair got the chips into the middle pre flop with Adamyid holding [Ad][Qh] while ploven13 held [Ks][Kh]. The [2c][2d][4s][7c][7d] board brought no assistance to Adamyid who collects $ 450.78 for fifth place.

Let’s make a deal:
After playing a few hands on the official final table the four remaining players decided to take a look at the numbers for a chip chop. Once the numbers were posted the players all agreed and play resumed to determine the winner of the $ 500 they had to leave to play for. Here is a look at the deal:
Tibbii:$ 1,937.97
ploven13:$ 1,744.92
FENIX RR:$ 1,495.20
GuusjeG:$ 1,467.53
Left To Play for: $ 500.00
First one out:
GuusjeG moved all-in from the small blind with the short stack on the table. FENIX RR, who just had GuusjeG covered called and the players cards were revealed with FENIX RR holding [Tc][9c] while GuusjeG held [Jd][6c]. The [Ah][Th][9d] flop gave FENIX RR two pair, tens and nines, to pull ahead in the hand. The [Qs] turn and [Ac] river changed nothing sending GuusjeG out in fourth place collecting $ 1,467.53.

Down to two:
FENIX RR moved all-in facing an open to 3.3 million from ploven13. ploven13 called and showed [3h][3c] against FENIX RR’s [Ad][7d]. The [Qh][8s][6c][6s][2c] board meant FENIX RR’s tournament was over with collecting $ 1,495.20.

Heads-up play began with ploven13 holding about 15 million more than Tibbii. That lead only held for five hands as Tibbii caught a straight with [Qh][Tc] on a [Jh][Ts][7c][9c][8h] to beat ploven13′s [Kc][Kd].
From there Tibbii tried to keep the pressure on ploven13 but that pressure eventually back fired as ploven13 managed to get some revenge for the above kings hand. On a [Qc][Qh][8h] flop ploven13 moved all-in with [As][Js] and Tibbii called with [8s][7d]. The [Jh] turn gave ploven13 the lead while the [9s] sealed the deal giving ploven13 a much needed double.
ploven13 did not slow down from there eventually taking the lead and then the win. The final hand saw both players flop a pair on the [9s][5d][4s] flop and the chips went into the middle. ploven13 held the best of it with [Qc][9c] as Tibbii held [9d][7d]. The board finished up with a [2h] in the turn and a [6h] on the river. Tibbii collects $ 1,937.97 for second while ploven13 takes $ 2,244.92 for first.

Congrats to ploven13 on winning event 74.

The MicroMillions II is moving into the final days, you can find information on what events remain along with satellites on the main MicroMillions page.
MicroMillions II: pahancik prevails; bags Badugi title in event #56 ($3.30 FL Badugi)
The Badugi title belongs to Russia as pahancik defeated a field of 2,233 to claim the first prize of $ 923.27. By virtue of scoring the knock out that reduced the field from nine to eight to start the final table the Russian took the chip lead to the final table. He soon lost it but in between hung tough, hung around and scored the all important final knock out to claim the title.
Pretty big for Badugi
The field of 2,233 for event #56 was a fraction of some other Micro Millions II fields, indeed the entire prize pool of $ 6,699.00 was less than many first places. But, this is Badugi, a field of over 2,200 meant this was like the Woodstock or Glastonbury of Badugi, this was big. For an overview of the rules of Badugi please click here.
It took over seven and a half hours to whittle the field down to the final eight, by this time the stakes had reached 80,000 – 160,000. This is how the players, drawn from eight different nations, stacked up:

Seat 1: Thiesao58, Germany, 1,667,175
Seat 2: WPT_Champ111, Canada, 1,951,594
Seat 3: rewind2007, India, 965,077
Seat 4: rock_it_bad, Australia, 719,112
Seat 5: huli2, Bulgaria, 553,086
Seat 6: enavy, Portugal, 1,023,360
Seat 7: dawe092, Hungary, 1,941,212
Seat 8: pahancik, Russia, 2,344,384
Indian out first
The stakes had risen to 120,000 – 240,000 by the time we had the first exit. Down to just 60,924 rewind2007 was all-in from the big blind, huli2 raised to 240,000 and recieved calls from dawe092 and WPT_Champ111. On the first draw this is what happened:
WPT_Champ111: stood pat
Rewind2007: drew two
huli2: stood pat
dawe092: drew one
It was checeked to huli2 who bet 120,000, dawe092 was the only caller. On the second draw all three players repeated their action from the first draw, huli2 bet 240,000 and dawe092 folded. On the final draw rewind2007 yet again drew one, whilst huli2 stood pat, showdown:
huli2: [Qc][9h][5d][4s] – a queen high badugi
rewind2007: [10h][3h][7d][5s] – a three card 7,5,3
For finishing eighth rewind2007 collected $ 66.99.
enavy ejected in seventh
Next to go was enavy, the Portuguese player’s stack had slipped to just 83,360 and after posting the small blind of 60,000 he had little choice but to go with his hand.
Unfortunately for him pahancik had been dealt [Ts][6d][2c][Ah] – a T,6,2,A Badugi – and despite three draws, where he took just one card on each occasion, enavy could only muster a three-card 6,4,A come showdown and had to be content with $ 133.98 for finishing seventh.
Canadian ‘champ’ sent packing in sixth
Just a few hands later the field was reduced to five as WPT_Champ111 was sent to the rail, pahancik yet again the executioner. The former moved all-in pre-draw for 221,594 and was called by huli2 and pahancik. On all three draws all three players took one card. Then, with all draws completed, pahancik bet 240,000 and huli2 mucked his hand.
pahancik: [Kd][9c][7h][As] – a K,9,7,A Badugi
WPT-Champ111: [8h][7d][3c][2c] – a three-card 8,7,2
The Canadian took home $ 200.97 for finishing sixth.
huli2 takes over
During five-handed play huli2 would take control getting paid off on every draw by pahancik when holding a 9,4,3,2 badugi, the Bulgarian’s stack climbed over the 4,000,000 mark with Thiesao58 closest on just over 3,000,000.
The stakes were now 140,000 – 280,000 and the three other stacks – including pahancik – were hovering between 1,200,000 and 1,600,000.
Something had to give and the next to fall was dawe092, the Hungarian’s stack had slipped to 741,058 at the start of the hand. The pot was opened by huli2 who raised to 280,000, dawe092 three-bet to 420,000 and huli2 made the call.
On the first draw they both took one card, dawe092 bet 140,000, huli2 check-raised to 280,000, dawe092 committed the last of his chips and huli2 made the call.
On the second and third draws both players stood pat, huli2 showed [7c][6s][2h][As] for a 7,6,2,A Badugi, which was ahead of dawe092′s [Qh][7d][4s][3c] – Q,7,4,3, Badugi, the Hungarian pocketed $ 334.95 for finishing fifth.
Four handed:
As four handed play started the limits rose to 160,000 – 320,000 and stacks looked like this:
Seat 1: Thiesao58, Germany 3,730,773
Seat 4: rock_it_bad, Australia, 2,013,644
Seat 5: huli2, Bulgaria, 4,281,423
Seat 8: pahancik, Russia, 1,139,160
Eventual winner pahancik was in big trouble, but the biggest pot of the tournament thus far was just around the corner and would see pahancik go from short stack to big stack, whilst huli2 would slide in the opposite direction. By the time the pot of 3,680,000 occurred, pahancik had climbed to 2,259,160 whilst huli2 had slipped to 3,401,423. The heavy action occurred after the second draw when both players put 1,280,000 into the pot. See the whole hand below.
Final three make a deal
By this time stakes had risen to 200,000 – 400,000 and the stacks looked like this:
Seat 1: Thiesao58, Germany, 6,679,975
Seat 4: rock_it_bad, Australia, 967,288
Seat 8: pahancik, Russia, 3,517,737
At this point the tournament paused as the players wished to discuss a deal. The shortest stack of the three – rock_it_bad – was not happy with his cut according to the chip chop deal, but after a bit of negotiating the two bigger stacks agreed to give up a bit of their portion and a deal was struck which left $ 100 to play for and the following pay outs:
Seat 1: Thiesao58, Germany, $ 950,00
Seat 4: rock_it_bad, Australia, $ 729.03
Seat 8: pahancik, Russia, $ 823.27
Chip leader Thiesao58 seemed to sense that he’d given up a bit too much in the deal (given that first place was originally $ 1,151.98) saying: ‘wtf this is soo bad for me but i dont really know this game.’
On the second hand after the deal was locked short stack rock_it_bad exited in third, all-in for less than two big bets the Aussie made a three-card 8,3,A but lost out to Thiesao58′s Q,8,6,2 Badugi.
Heads-Up
The stakes were still 200,000 – 400,000 when heads-up play started:
Seat 1: Thiesao58, Germany, 7,047,263
Seat 8: pahancik, Russia, 4,117,737
Almost immediately though the momentum would start to swing pahancik’s way. The Russian won a 3,600,000 chip pot with a K,9,7,4 Badugi to draw almost level in chips and soon after took a 4,000,000 chip pot with a three-card 4,2,A against a three-card 8,4,A to take the chip lead.
Two more three-million chip pots went the Russian’s way, leaving Thiesao58 with just 22,263 and forced all-in at the start of the final hand.
On the first draw Thiesao58 drew one, whilst pahancik drew two. On the second draw Thiesao58 stood pat, pahancik again drew two. On the third and final draw both players discarded one and it was time for showdown:
pahancik: [8d][6s][4h][2s] – for a three-card 8,4,2
Thiesao58: [Kh][Qh][Qs][4c] – for a three-card K,Q,4

There’s still plenty of Micro Millions events to come, check out the full schedule here.
Team PokerStars Online’s Andre ‘acoimbra’ Coimbra didn’t trouble the scoreboard in this event as he busted in 1,247th place. But through event #53 he’d had 13 in the money finishes and is over the half-way mark in his quest to play all 100 Micro Millions II events. Check out his diary here.
MicroMillions II: KOTLYAREVSKA crushes competition; wins event #37 ($3.30 PL Omaha, 6-max 2R1A)
Four cards equaled a double quick final table as KOTLYAREVSKA crushed the competition to win event #37. The Russian had a big chip lead at the start of the final table, never lost it and eliminated every other player in under an hour to take the top prize of $ 4,853.98. Meanwhile fabio_bruxo who finished fourth has, if my maths is correct, moved to the top of the MicroMillions II leader board.
Six-max, four cards, two re-buys and one add-on
When it comes to pot-limit Omaha tournaments 6-max is the preferred format of most enthusiasts and the players turned out in their droves for Event #37 as 4,107 took a shot at the four card variant. Equities of hands in this format are a lot closer than in hold’em tournaments, to this end players had the safety net of up to two re-buys during the opening two hours and at the end of that period an optional add-on.
Between them they boosted the prize pool with 5,255 re-buys and 1,241 add-ons which when all was said and done made for a total prize pool of $ 31,089.
If you’ve been following the coverage of the Micro Millions II you’ll know that Team PokerStars Online Andere ‘acoimbra’ Coimbra is playing all 100 events and keeping a diary of his progress. Through tournament 35 he’d had seven cashes for a total of $ 171.19, the Portuguese pro added to that tally here making a deep run before busting in 210th spot. That cash added another $ 22.26 to the ledger.
Two tables out
With two tables left KOTLYAREVSKA was already bossing proceedings, reaching over 17,000,000 chips, whilst no one else had over ten million. By the time LadyKiller67 was bumped off in seventh place the Russian had extended the lead further, having accumulated almost 23 million of the 53 million in play. This was almost double the stack of second placed The Pad Lady, with blinds at 100,000-200,000 ante 37,500 this is how the final table stacked up.
Seat 1: SSergey1980, Ukraine, 1,361,770
Seat 2: KOTLYAREVSKA, Russia, 22,924,435
Seat 3: elektrik262, Russia, 2,779,633
Seat 4: The Pad Lady, Australia, 11,658,248
Seat 5: fabio_bruxo, Brazil, 7,445,570
Seat 6: TheSkittyboo, United Kingdom, 6,845,344
Only five alive
On just the fifth hand of the final the rich got richer as KOTLYAREVSKA sent fellow Russian elektrik262 to the rail. The latter was all-in for 2,654,633 with [Ah][Ad][Jd][7h] against KOTLYAREVSKA’s [Kc][Kd][2s][10s]. The flop and turn of [2d][7d][8d][6c] kept elektrik262 in the lead, but the chip leader hit a brutal four outer on the river when the [2h] completed the board, elektrik262 took home $ 547.11 for finishing sixth.
This pot took KOTLYAREVSKA over the 26 million mark. An admission of ‘sorr’ in the chat box was surely directed at elektrik262 but may as well have been said to the whole table as there was surely only one winner from here?
The wheels half come off then get put back on again
Over the next 37 hands though KOTLYAREVSKA was reeled back in, twice the Russian doubled up SSergey1980 and also lost sizeable pots to TheSkittyboo and The Pad Lady. The last of these saw The Pad Lady climb to 18,345,748 whilst the Russian had been reeled in, slipping to 19,675,008.
But, just half-a-dozen hands later the chip lead was lengthened once more as KOTLYAREVSKA got the second KO of the final table. With blinds at 150,000 – 300,000 ante 37,500, TheSkittyboo made it 900,000 to go from under-the-gun and KOTLYAREVSKA made the call from the button. On the [10c][2d][4d] flop TheSkittyboo made a 900,000 c-bet, the chip leader applied the pressure by min-raising to 1,800,000, Skittyboo then moved all-in for 5,727,871 and KOTLYAREVSKA clicked call.
TheSkittyboo: [Kc][Ks][9h][2h]
KOTLYAREVSKA: [Td][As][Qc][10s]
The chip leader had flopped top set which held up on the [Ad][3d] turn and river and once again the Russian had almost half the chips in play.
Brazilian out in fourth, but climbs to first
Four handed play would last 32 hands before KOTLYAREVSKA once again floored a player with a fatal knockout, fabio_bruxo the victim, dispatched in fourth place for a $ 1,669.97 payday. The Brazilian had blinded down to less than five big blinds when he made his move. It folded to KOTLYAREVSKA on the button and the chip leader put in a min-raise to 1,000,000, fabio_bruxo then moved all-in for 2,395,669 from the big blind and KOTLYAREVSKA called off the extra.
KOTLYAREVSKA: [Ad][Ac][6s][5d]
fabio_bruxo: [Kd][Ks][8h][4c]
The chip leader was a 76% to extend that lead and despite falling behind on the [4d][Jc][8s] flop, the [9d] turn and [7d] river gave the Russian the pot. This was incredibly fabio_bruxo’s 17th cash of the Micro Millions II series, but the first final table. The Brazilian currently sits third on the MicroMillions leader board, but once the 50 points for this fourth place finish are added it should move fabio_bruxo to the top of the pile. There’s a long way to go but the Brazilian will be in pole position to win the PCA main event package and trophy on offer for player of the series.
Ladder
With three players left, the two start of final table chip leaders were joined by the stack who’d been shortest coming in. Ukrainian SSergey1980 found himself in a familiar position, trailing the two big stacks by some way.
Seat 1: SSergey1980, Ukraine, 4,064,140
Seat 2: KOTLYAREVSKA, Russia, 29,099,272
Seat 4: The Pad Lady, Australia, 19,851,588
The Ukrainian had done well to ladder this far and despite scoring one double-up he couldn’t escape the runaway juggernaut that was KOTLYAREVSKA. It folded to SSergey1980 and from a stack of 5,756,560 he made it three big blinds – 1,500,000 – to play, KOTLYAREVSKA made the call and the two of them went heads-up to a flop of [Ah][Js][Jc].
Both players checked to see the [10s] fall on fourth street, bet of 1,250,000 from KOTLYAREVSKA, call from SSergey1980. The [5s] completed a paired and flushing board, KOTLYAREVSKA bet enough to set SSergey1980 all-in and the call was made.
KOTLYAREVSKA: [Jd][10h][8d][8h] – jacks full of tens
SSergey1980: [Qd][Qs][8s][3s] – queen high flush
That sent SSergey1980 crashing out in third, $ 2,756.52 cushioning the blow though.
Russian to the finish line:
As heads-up play got underway KOTLYAREVSKA had a two and a half to one chip lead.
Seat 2: KOTLYAREVSKA, Russia, 37,757,162
Seat 4: The Pad Lady, Australia, 15,257,838
It would not take long for the inevitable to happen, three hands in fact for the Russian to wrap up the title.
From the button KOTLYAREVSKA min-raised to 1,000,000, The Pad Lady bumped it to 2,000,000 and the Russian made the call. On the [Ad][Js][3d] flop The Australian c-bet 2,500,000, call from KOTLYAREVSKA. The [3c] hit the turn, The Pad Lady fired out a bet of 4,000,000, another smooth call from KOTLYAREVSKA.
The [Jh] completed the board, there was over 17,000,000 already in the pot and The Pad Lady now moved all-in for 7,195,388 and was snap called by KOTLYAREVSKA.
The Pad Lady: [Kc][4h][10d][8h] – a pair of jacks
KOTLYAREVSKA: [Jc][3h][Tc][Th] – jacks full of threes

MicroMillions II: mantecacacao mans up in Event #18 ($3.30 NLHE, Turbo)
In a tournament the only elimination that matters is the last one. For most that last elimination means their shot at winning is done but for one that elimination means they just won.
On the final table of the MicroMillions II Event No. 18 mantecacacao only had one elimination while lenonss had five. It was that one elimination that mattered though as mantecacacao defeated lenonss heads-up to secure a career best cash.
******************************************
The 18th event of the MicroMillions II schedule boasted a $ 40,000 guarantee for a $ 3.30 buy-in. A total of 15,768 players came together to surpass that guarantee. Here is a look at the final numbers:
Entrants: 15,768
Guarantee: $ 40,000
Prize pool: $ 47,304
Paid Players: 2,025
It only took 133 minutes to lose the first 13,743 players to get into the money. It was D221L from Russia leading the way while ~VJD from Kazakhstan had the unfortunate honor of becoming the bubble boy.
The only Team Online member in the field was André “acoimbra” Coimbra who managed a 993rd place finish for a $ 9.46 cash.
Over the next 158 mins the field worked their way to the final table. By the time they reached it wono23 sat at the top and the chip leader at the time of the money bubble, D221L, was still hanging in, squarely in the middle of the final nine. Here is how they stacked up as final table play began:
Seat 1: lenonss (12,087,462 in chips)
Seat 2: mantecacacao (15,360,577 in chips)
Seat 3: kiko_cf27 (4,402,530 in chips)
Seat 4: durken23 (3,473,256 in chips)
Seat 5: pavlovpaveli (7,722,962 in chips)
Seat 6: D221L (5,237,332 in chips)
Seat 7: Saraga (7,694,179 in chips)
Seat 8: Skeptikus (4,877,146 in chips)
Seat 9: wono23 (17,984,556 in chips)

When you are the short stack you hope to get doubled up or even tripled up, but to have a chance to increase our stack five times that of what you started the hand makes you smile, but it also means you have to beat out four other players. That is just what pavlovpaveli was trying to do a few hands after getting crippled at the hands of Saraga. pavlovpaveli moved all-in with well less than an ante left after wono23 and mantecacacao limped into the hand. Saraga limped behind from the small blind and Skeptikus checked from the big blind. The five players saw a [Qh][Td][Tc] flop and all checked, once again they checked around on the [Qd] turn. The [3h] river finally brought a bet, it was Skeptikus led out with a bet of 1,000,000. Everyone folded leaving Skeptikus the task of eliminating pavlovpaveli. The pot belonged to Skeptikus, who held [Qc][Jh] over pavlovpaveli’s [9h][5c] who collects $ 283.82 for ninth place.

With less than one big blind, durken23 was all-in to start the hand in the big blind. It was lenonss who wanted to take on durken23, as he opened from middle position to get everyone else to fold. lenonss held [Qd][Qh] while durken23 had [Th][2h]. The [As][Qc][6s] flop put an end to everything leaving durken23 drawing dead eliminating durken23 in eighth place collecting $ 425.73.

In the final hand before the break wono23 and lenonss tangled in an almost 30 million chip pot. lenonss opened from under-the-gun to 2,400,000, wono23 called from the big blind after everyone else folded. The pair saw a [Jd][9c][3d] flop. wono23 checked, lenonss bet 2,400,000, wono23 moved all-in for 11,709,556, and lenonss called. wono23 showed [Kd][Js] for top pair but it was the [Jc][Jh] held by lenonss that had the lead with top set. That lead was too much for wono23 to overcome as the board ran out [7c][6h]. wono23 collects $ 827.82 for seventh place.

After an elimination just before the break the players were not ready to slow down. As the first hand back from the break another player made their exit. It was D221L who moved all-in pre flop, Skeptikus called from the button and the blinds folded. D221L showed [Ad][8h] against Skeptikus’ [6c][6d]. The [7c][6s][3h] flop gave Skeptikus a set of sixes. The [9d] turn gave D221L a open-ended straight draw but it was the [9h] river that gave Skeptikus a full house eliminating D221L in sixth place collecting $ 1,277.20.

The action did not slow down with a third elimination in as many hand as once again lenonss doing the dirty work. lenonss opened from the button to 2,400,000. kiko_cf27, who only had 277,530 more, moved all-in from the big blind and lenonss called. lenonss held [3h][3d] while kiko_cf27 held [Kc][Js]. The [Qs][7h][4c][5c][5h] board was a safe one for lenonss’ pocket threes eliminating kiko_cf27 in fifth place collecting $ 1,750.24.

Things slowed down a bit as it took two hands before the next elimination came, but it had a familiar participant. It was a battle of the blinds with Skeptikus moving all-in from the small blind and getting called by lenonss from the big blind. Once again lenonss held the advantage with a pocket pair, this time it was [Qs][Qh] against Skeptikus’ [As][2c]. The [Jh][Td][8s][3d][3s] board brought no assistance to Skeptikus who collects $ 2,223.28 for fourth place.

After four eliminations over five hands the final three players dug in to get to heads-up. It took 29 hands before the next elimination happened as the two big stacks on the table patiently waited out Saraga who had the short stack. After successfully getting a couple of doubles to stay alive Saraga’s luck finally ran out, and once again it was lenonss who took care of business. Saraga moved all-in with [Qd][5h] from the small blind and lenonss called showing [9d][7h]. Everything was pointing towards another double-up for Saraga through the turn with the board reading [8c][3d][3s][Kh] but it was the [7d] river that changed everything sending Saraga out in third place collecting $ 3,169.36.

When heads-up play began lenonss held a 3.5 to 1 chip lead. That lead lasted on hand as lenonss tried to quickly put an end to things by raising enough to put mantecacacao all-in. Unfortunately for lenonss mantecacacao held pocket aces. lenonss [Qd][7d] was not able to catch enough to win the hand and things were now almost even.
Seat 1: lenonss (44,145,562 in chips)
Seat 2: mantecacacao (34,694,438 in chips)
At this point the players decided to discuss a deal. After a brief conversation the two agreed to the following numbers and play continued to see who would collect the $ 800 left.
lenonss – $ 4,685.93
mantecacacao – $ 4,566.83

MicroMillions II: Andre ‘acoimbra’ Coimbra’s Ironman mission
He’s a man on a mission and he’s not shy about talking about it. Team PokerStars Online’s Andre ‘acoimbra’ Coimbra is going to play every MicroMillions II event over the next 11 days. It may be a micro stakes series but it’s going to take the heart of a high roller to pull through this ironman challenge.
acoimbra is going to play all one hundred events over the next 11 days. Most of these events, ranging from Event #1′s $ 0.11 rebuys up to the $ 22 main event, have a gap of just two or three hours between start times. Should he build a few stacks there is a strong possibility that he’ll be passing through a few sunsets without much – if any – shut-eye. And he’ll be posting a video blog every day too which you can watch here at the PokerStars Blog every day, along with final table reports of every single event.
In his first submission (see below) acoimbra looks alert, excited and, truth be told, a little like a James Bond super villain with all that hand steepling. We’ll see what he looks like on day six…
